Multiple reports of a warehouse fire just west of Virginia Gardens and Miami Springs at 6995 NW 46th Street. That’s in the warehouse area off of NW 72nd Avenue. It’s just due west of Ludlam and Whitehorn Drive.
Several Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were on scene working to put out the two alarm fire.
As you know, this area near Milam Dairy is an area the City of Miami Springs has been attempting to annex for over 20 years. The City believes the annexation may finally get through the Miami-Dade County Commission this summer. (We’ll believe it when we see it.)
