Henry “Bud” Coker Holleman III, our beloved father, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 01, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.

Bud lived a fruitful life and touched the lives of so many. His sense of humor and laughter were contagious, and he had a gift for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. Bud will be deeply missed by his family members, friends, colleagues, and community, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Born on December 8, 1937 in Miami Shores, Florida to Henry Coker Holleman Jr. & Mable Pomeroy, Bud was a Miami boy through and through. From his early years a passion for sports ignited inside him that carried through as he excelled in varsity Basketball, Baseball, Football, and Track at Staunton Military Academy. Following his honorable service in the United States Army, he pursued higher education at both the University of Miami and Auburn University, majoring in English and minoring in Philosophy. Bud subsequently embarked on a variety of successful business ventures, but it was his legacy as the Owner & Operator of Holleman’s Restaurant in Miami Springs, Florida, spanning over three decades, that truly distinguished him. Established in 1975, Holleman’s Restaurant shared its name with the renowned Miami Beach establishment once owned by Bud’s father, Henry C. Holleman Jr., which reigned as one of the most popular restaurants in Miami Beach from 1934 until its closure in 1969. Bud’s iconic restaurant in Miami Springs grew to be a legendary hub of nostalgia, a cherished landmark where countless individuals etched their fondest memories into its storied walls, making it an indelible part of the community’s history.’

Bud had a special love and passion for his children, who were the light of his life and the source of his greatest joy. He also cherished playing golf and could often be found at Miami Springs Country Club, where he both played golf and worked during his later years. His love for the sport was only matched by the deep bonds he formed with his friends. Spending countless hours on the green, Bud not only honed his skills but also nurtured lifelong friendships that he held dear to his heart.

Survived by his loving children: Brent Holleman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, along with Brent’s beautiful daughter, Isabella; Shawna Warmus and her husband Ryan Warmus of Tamarac, FL, who lovingly cared for him during his final years; and Christina Miller and her wife Coddie Dixon of Gilbert, Arizona, along with their cherished children Dax and Miles. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Chelle Ansted of Jasper, GA, as well as his ex-wife and longtime friend and co-parent, Beth Holleman-Ingrao, and her husband Sal Ingrao.

A celebration of Bud’s life will be held on Tuesday March 5th at the Miami Springs Country Club from 4pm – 8pm. Please R.S.V.P. on Facebook. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Tee Miami or The Miami Springs Historical Society.
