Joseph Anthony “Tony” Diehl was born September 4 th 1945 in Jacksonville, Fl to Tilton Lamar Chester and Louise Vickers Chester. He grew up in Miami Springs, Fl and graduated from Hialeah High School in Miami. He worked for Eastern Airlines and later as a real estate agent/developer and mortgage banker. Tony lived life to the fullest enjoying fishing, cruise ships, flying planes, sky diving, sailing yachts and buzzing around town on his scooter. He adored his three pretty Pomeranians—Chanel, Ellie, and Rosie.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Tilton Lamar “Junie” and Jerome Robert “Jerry” Chester. Those left behind to honor his memory are his sisters Judith Weech (Ken), Jackie Jessup, and Ruth Ann Hankins. His sons Timothy Kozik (Leah) and Joseph “Joey” Diehl (Allyson) and daughter Rebecca Ahern (John) and grandchildren Nicholas Kozik and Natalie Kozik. Tony was a wonderful host preparing the most unique and delicious meals seasoning the evening with entertaining music and stories. Time with Tony was known by all as “Happy Hour”. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date with family in Franklin, North Carolina and Boise, Idaho.
