In 1948, Dr. and Mrs. Carl P. Arant undertook the construction of an exquisite and stately residence where they lived with their three children: Carl Jr., Muriel Kay, and Jessica Susan. This grand home, designed in a colonial style, became a prominent feature of the Virginia Gardens, Miami Springs area. Situated on a 10-acre tract at ‪4020 N. Red Rd.‬, the house was set back 650 feet from the street.

The residence featured a total of 12 rooms, thoughtfully distributed throughout the property. The left wing of the first floor boasted a spacious hall, a large living room, a library, and a circular stairway leading to the second floor. On the same floor’s right wing, one could find a guest bedroom and bath, a dining room, a circular breakfast room, a kitchen, a loggia with an adjoining laundry room, servants’ quarters, and a two-car garage.

Ascending to the second floor, the left wing housed a master bedroom, a dressing room, a bath, and a study, offering a private sanctuary for the Arant family. Meanwhile, the right wing was designed with two bedrooms, each having adjoining baths, as well as a utility room. The attic served as a children’s playroom and provided ample storage space.
The Catholic Diocese acquired it in 1953, establishing Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and School. Dr. Carl P. Arant passed away in 1996.
