The Miami Springs Optimist Club continues its long tradition of serving the community by offering free cooked meals to the community last Saturday. The meal donation program was put together with help of dozens of volunteers and great help by the folks at Ricky’s Meats.
As you can see see, volunteers were wearing face masks to protect themselves and the residents.
Volunteers including many current and former Miami Springs Senior High Students.
Residents were offered a choice of burgers or chicken.
The event was organized to allow drive through service only to protect the volunteers and keep social distancing.
Thanks again to the Miami Springs / Virginia Gardens Optimist Club, Ricky’s Meats, the City of Miami Springs, Village of Virginia Gardens and especially all the hard working volunteers.
