Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week and commemorates the triumphant arrival of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem.  “Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a young donkey, and to the lavish praise of the townspeople who threw clothes, or possibly palms or small branches, in front of him as a sign of homage. This was a customary practice for people of great respect.”

Of course, we know that Jesus was crucified just days after arriving in Jerusalem.  But then he rose again on the third day in fulfillment of the scriptures on Holy Easter.

While our local houses of worship are not open this year due to the Coronavirus, many of the local churches have made their masses available online via live streaming.  Below, is the live stream from the Palm Sunday vigil mass held at Blessed Trinity.

Father Alfaro of Blessed Trinity also wanted to share this special Holy Week message.
