We are saddened to share the news that Miami Springs resident, community leader, and President and CEO of the Coral Gables Chamber, Mark A. Trowbridge has passed away.
Trowbridge was a larger than life figure who served on several boards including the chairman of the Miami Springs Business and Economic Development Task Force.
The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce shared the following on social media:
For 18 years, Mark dedicated himself to the Coral Gables business community, earning the affectionate title of Mister Coral Gables. A visionary leader and tireless advocate, his impact on our city is immeasurable.Mark’s quick wit, palpable presence, and barreling belly laughs were the heartbeat of every room he entered. His passion, humor, and unwavering commitment to our community will be profoundly missed.His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the vibrant city he helped shape.Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.May 8, 1968 – February 21, 2025 #GablesChamber“
Mark was also heavily engaged with Miami’s Community Newspapers to share positive news from the community.
Trowbridge was also huge Florida Gators fan and loved to share that with everyone.
Trowbridge was hospitalized in May of 2023 and was being treated for cancer.
We lost a great champion for South Florida and a good man. Our hearts go out to Mark’s friends and family.
