Theo Karantsalis published an article for The Miami Herald yesterday reviewing the details of the Miami Springs special meeting on the upcoming year`s budget.
According to the article, the Miami Springs City Council “has tentatively set the maximum tax rate at $7.6710 for every $1,000 of assessed taxable.”
That`s the same rate that we have today which was already 10% higher than the previous year`s tax rate. The 7.6710 millage rate continues to put the city of Miami Springs` tax rate among the highest in the county. According to Miami-Dade.gov, Miami Springs has the 6th highest millage rate among the 37 Miami-Dade municipalities and taxing districts.
