The Onyx Hotel located at 5125 NW 36th St (the corner of De Leon Drive and NW 36th Street) got a full exterior renovation, modernizing and overall site improvement. See the full makeover in the video below:
The project was completed by Gables & Grove Painting and included “surface repair, stucco refinement, commercial coatings, concrete restoration, and structural updates over a five-month schedule.”
According to Gables & Grove Painting, their team “resurfaced the building from rough stucco to a smooth, modern finish, refinishing every wall and corner along with 170+ doors and windows. All frames were recoated using durable DTM products for a consistent, commercial-grade look.”
Gables & Grove Painting proclaimed they worked with the City of Miami Springs on the permitting / color review process and completed a wide scope of exterior upgrades including:
- New stucco application and curing
- Loxon primer and two coats of SuperPaint® for long-term protection
- Cleaning and refinishing of sidewalks, the entrance, and the roundabout using a permanent concrete stain system
- Parking deck refresh
- Installation of 300+ feet of custom handrails
- Full rebuild of the roofline fascia
