An Amazon Prime Plane apparently overshot the runway at Miami International Airport and crossed perimeter road. Online videos show heavy smoke. First responders are at the scene and have closed off access to the area.

As you can see in the photo above, the incident occurred just south of NW 34th Street and NW 67th Avenue at approximately 2pm on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

No word yet on the conditions of the crew of the airplane or if anyone on the ground was hurt. Stay tuned as we keep you posted on the situation.

Local media reports indicate the plane did strike multiple vehicles.  It’s not clear if those vehicles were parked or being driven along the perimeter road.
