It’s an exciting week as the July 4th holiday falls on a Friday this year. And Miami Springs has earned the well deserved reputation of having the best, family friendly 4th of July events in all of South Florida.
Here’s a quick rundown of the 4th of July events in Miami Springs:
Miami Springs 4th of July Parade
The highlight for most families is the Miami Springs 4th of July Parade. It is by far the best family friendly Independence Day Parade in all of South Florida.
The parade starts on Westward Drive and Esplanade. The route heads east along Westward Drive towards the Circle. Then, the route heads south along Curtiss Parkway and ends at the Miami Springs Golf and Country Club.
The parade starts this Friday at 10am. Get there early to reserve the best viewing spots.
Miami Springs 4th of July Fireworks
Golf play ends early on the 4th of July in order to turn our beautiful golf course into a grand viewing area for the 4th of July Fireworks.
Every year we get asked, “What time do the fireworks start?”
The answer is, “After dusk.” In other words, once it’s dark enough to fully enjoy the bright flashes of the fireworks. The other thing is that weather in the area can delay and or accelerate the start of the fireworks show.
More importantly, get there early for the best parking. Please, park along Curtiss Parkway median and then walk towards the golf course. Do not park uninvited on someone’s front yard.
Before and after the fireworks, stop into Hole 19 inside the Miami Springs Country Club to enjoy live music, great drinks, and delicious food.
Miami Springs Classic Car Show
The Classic Car Show has traditionally been a warmup to the parade the next day, but since the holiday falls on a Friday, the organizers have moved the Classic Car Show to Saturday evening from 6pm – 10pm on the Circle.
