The Miami Springs City Council voted to lower the millage rate from 6.9100 to 6.8600.
We want to again highlight the great work of the City Manager, J.C. Jimenez and the City’s Finance Director, Chris Chiocca. We are very appreciative for all the hard work they did in preparing a budget that gave the City Council the option to not just keep our millage rate flat, but allow the Council the option to lower the millage rate.
In an inflationary environment where costs continue to go up for the city including higher employee costs, insurance rates, and other rising costs, it is a great accomplishment for the city to actually lower the millage rate.
