The signs are popping up throughout Miami Springs which means it`s election season. Below is the list of candidates provided by the City Clerk.
MAYOR
Fernando “Fred” Suco is challenging Zavier Garcia for Mayor.
SEAT 1
Bob Best has qualified to run against Michael Windrem, but a last minute entry by Jorge “George” Valdes will make Seat 1 a three way race.
SEAT 2
Martin Marquez submitted paperwork to run against Billy Bain for Seat II.
SEAT 3
Roslyn “Rosie” Buckner qualified to challenge George Lob for Seat 3.
SEAT 4
Constantino Hernandez submitted paperwork for a rematch against Jaime Petralanda.
According to the City Clerk, Martin Marquez, Constantino Hernandez, and Jorge Valdes are all pending verification from the county elections department.
