We’d like to thank the Girl Scout Troop 2564, the Leonard Real Estate Group, and all the volunteers and residents who came out to the 1st annual Holiday Trolley Tour of Miami Springs homes. We also want to thank Kahnee June Rodriguez for all her hard work in making this event a reality.

The sold out event picked up riders at the Polar Express “Train Station” in between The Leonard Real Estate Group‘s office and the Woman’s Club along Park Street and Westward Drive.  Then they toured through our community observing some of the many beautiful residential Christmas displays.

Riders were also able to enjoy face painting, crafts, last minute letters to Santa, home made treats, and even some hot cocoa at the pop-up Christmas Village along Park Street.

The organizer, Kahnee June Rodriguez, shared the following statement on the Miami Springs Community Facebook Group:

On behalf of our Girl Scout troop 2564: A very big THANK YOU to our community for participating in our first Holiday Trolley – Polar Express event last night. Rain didn’t dismay our excited riders!

I especially would like to express our appreciation to The Leonard Real Estate Group for their collaboration and support. They believe in our community and it definitely was felt last night!

The route was selected by our Girl Scouts (some homes were registered with us and some were not) but due to the short thirty minute ride we were not able to tour everything like we wanted… but not to worry! If you missed out on the trolley (we sold out all boarding passes!) or would like to see more next year; we hope to create a tradition where we can do the same for 2023!

Homes toured were:

      • 900 and 1000 block from Oriole
      • 900 block from Raven – included a sighting from “The Grinch” much to the kid’s delight!
      • 1000 block from Ibis Drive
      • Down Bluebird to see the Merry Christmas Happy New Year sign on the water
      • 1000 block from Westward

We also painted faces, made crafts, helped kids with spelling to write letters to Santa, made home made treats, handed out (a lot)of hot cocoa and even gave each believer a special Christmas bell. On the trolley, we sang along to Christmas songs and just enjoyed the time together.
