The Miami Springs Golden Hawks varsity football team saw their perfect start to the 2026 season come to a dramatic end on Friday night, dropping a highly competitive 26–19 contest to the North Miami Beach Chargers at Nathaniel “Traz” Powell Stadium.
Entering the matchup with a flawless 4–0 record, the Golden Hawks faced their toughest test of the year against Jeff Bertani’s physical and well-disciplined Chargers squad. The loss brings Miami Springs to a 4–1 record, matching North Miami Beach’s standing and setting up an intense battle for District 3A-16 supremacy as the season moves into its critical second half.
