Your Miami Springs Senior High Golden Hawks got back to their winning ways in a thrilling high scoring football game on Friday. The final score: 42-40.
According to the high school sports website, MaxPreps.com, the Hawks got 163 yards rushing plus an additional 116 yards passing from Kennan Powell. That’s 279 total yards from Powell who scored 4 touchdowns. Miami Springs Senior, Angel Rondon, also added an additional 105 yards passing. Overall, the Hawks exploded with 221 yards passing and 222 yards rushing.
The Golden Hawks are now 3-5 for the season. Next up is the Mayor’s Cup as the Golden Hawks face arch-rival, Hialeah High, this Thursday at 7pm at Milander Park.
