Hurricane Michael forms in the Gulf of Mexico. As of 2pm, the storm was located on the western edge of Cuba and forecast to take a northern track towards the Florida panhandle and the big bend area.
Any time a storm is near we should keep an eye on it, but forecasters stat there is no cold front or dip in the jet stream that would cause the storm to turn our way.
The Florida panhandle is under a Hurricane Watch. No watches or warnings are in effect in our area.
