We were honored to meet with former Miami Springs City Councilman and retired History Professor, Dr. Victor Vazquez, as he makes his run to regain his former seat on the Miami Springs City Council. You may recall that Vazquez resigned to run for Miami-Dade County Commission District 6 Seat. He ultimately lost to the current Commissioner, Kevin Cabrera. As a result, the City of Miami Springs selected George Lob to fill the temporary vacancy from November through April when the winner of the election will fill the seat. Now, Vazquez has an opportunity to regain his seat.
We want to thank Vazquez. He has consistently made himself available for interviews on MiamiSprings.com. We had the honor of interviewing him before his first run for City Council, we interviewed him when he ran for County Commissioner, and once again we interviewed him for his current run. We applaud Vazquez’ willingness to meet with us and to share his views with the Miami Springs residents.
