Lifelong Miami Springs resident, AIE Principal, and current Miami Springs Councilman, Walter Fajet, joined us for a spirited conversation on the future of Miami Springs. Watch the full video below:
In the video, Walter talks about some of the current issues, and also compares and contrasts some of the differences between him and his opponent.
He also shared the following message with us:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to go on this platform and talk directly to the residents as they decide who should be the next Mayor of Miami Springs. I felt it important during the interview to discuss substantive issues and make distinctions between me and my opponent with regard to policy history, policy understanding, and political judgement. What is not in question, however, is the character of the man I am running against for Mayor. Bob Best is an accomplished, principled man, who served his country honorably in the armed forces, and who has served the City of Miami Springs even more so. He has given back to this city immeasurably in the last 30 years and will continue to be a leader within this community well into the future. I am honored to have the opportunity to run against Councilman Best for Mayor and provide the city with excellent options to choose from when deciding who should lead the council.“
We want to thank Walter for taking the time to meet with us and share his views with the Miami Springs public. It takes a lot to run for office and we are grateful to all the candidates that are running.

Early voting is on Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th at City Hall.
Election day is on Tuesday, April 1st at the Miami Springs Country Club.
