Nichoulas Wilson was heavily intoxicated and causing a scene, ran up a $300 bill at Sushi Sake and then refused to pay. When Miami Springs Police Department officers arrived and attempted to arrest him, Wilson became even more unruly. He damaged the patrol vehicle and spat on the officers during the confrontation.
