Miami Springs Police announced that Hook Square will be closing one lane this Thursday and Friday from 9:15am – 4:45pm. That means only one lane will be open to access the outgoing or vertical lift bridge. There will be backups that occur, especially closer to rush hour. As a result, it is recommended you seek an alternate route to get to Hialeah. The nearest bridge is on East Drive. You can also head west towards Medley and take the West 12th Avenue Bridge.
NOTE: Depending on weather and delays, it’s possible the lane closures may extend into Saturday.
