The City of Miami Springs is auctioning off surplus city vehicles and golf course equipment.  This is a unique opportunity to get everything from old Crown Vics to Dodge Chargers to commercial dump trucks through an online auction.

The auction is held by the government surplus auction website, BIDERA.com.  And you have until June 30th to submit your bid. Many auctions start at just $1,000.

So…Let’s take a look at some of the local auction items you might be able to grab.  (Note: descriptions listed below as described by BIDERA.)

2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

This was a decommissioned police Interceptor. All emergency equipment has been removed. The body on this unit looks good. The headlights are starting to yellow. The roof has 2-3 holes from previous emergency equipment. All. 4 doors open and close as they should including the trunk. Minor scratches and dents all around with some minor paint missing in some areas like passenger side rear quarter panel, driver side rear door and trunk and a small dent on the passenger side door. The driver side door panel appears to be in great condition with the exception of 1 tiny screw hole. The steering wheel shows normal use for its age. The dash is rough, multiple cracks below the radio control bezel, and the cup holder lip cover is broken and missing. This unit did has a cage and was removed along with the metal center console. But the plastic bucket seats were left in the rear. The battery on this unit was good, and started right up. This unit has 116,344 miles, and the AC blows ice cold. The transmission engages in drive and reverse. This unit has great potential to clean up. I left this unit on for over 45 mins and it did not overheat. This unit idles very smooth and revs very smooth and strong. Please review pictures and video.

2004 Chevrolet Impala

The body on this unit appears to be in good condition. There’s some paint fading with signs of light surface rust on the roof. The headlight are started to get dull. The door handle shows heavy use and missing paint. The taillight appear to be cracking from the sun. I don’t see any major signs of damage. Minor scratches and a few dents all around. The driver side door handles is dirty and shows normal wear and tear. The steering wheel shows heavy wear. The center console is dirty but not ripped. At first the dash appeared to be in very good condition but I noticed the dash crasking by the air vents. The carpet is in good shape and don’t see any major rips. This unit had a dead battery. Started right up with a jump. Left at idle for over an hour and has not overheated. AC blows fair. It’s cold but can be colder. This unit has 91,077 miles and feels well taken care of. Idles very smooth and revs very strong. Transmission engages in drive and reverse very well. There is a traction control light being displayed on the dash and the ABS light. Other than that she drove well in the parking lot. Please review pictures and video.

2013 Dodge Charger PPV (RWD)

This was a former PPV unit. All emergency equipment has been removed. The body on this unit looks good. No major visible  damage anywhere. The roof has a few holes from previous police equipment. The headlights look faded. The spotlight was cut off and removed. The rear bumper appears to has a small hit. You can tell that the vehicle has been painted before. The passenger side fender has a few scratches. Driver side door panel is missing plastics. Driver seat is ripped top and bottom side. Driver AC vent is broken. The metal center console was left but ll radio equipment was removed. Many plastics were removed and things look messy. The dash has a few small screw holes from previous equipment. The battery on this unit was dead. With a battery jump it started right up. It has 101,784 miles on the dash. Transmission engages very strong and solid. Please note, I left the unit on for maybe 15 minutes and noticed water temp going up, turned it off at the 3/4 mark. Let it cool down then added water. Came back to record the video and unit started to overheat again. Please review pictures and video.

2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

This was a former police interceptor unit. All emergency equipment has been removed. The body appears to be in great shape. Minor scratches and dents. The headlights and corner lights are clear. The roof has some spots of missing paint, and has 2-3 holes from emergency light bar and antenna. The front bumper has some rock chips. All 4 doors open and close as they should including the trunk. Driver door and rear door has spots of missing paint but no signs of rust. The rear bumper shows signs of paint cracking with some minor dents. Overall this unit appears to be in great condition. The driver door panel shows signs of use and I see a small screw holding down the window control switch. The driver seat is heavily used with some major rips. The dash has small screw holes from previous police equipment. The cage was removed but the rear plastic seats were left. The metal center console was also removed. This unit has 185,199 miles, The battery on this unit was good and she started right up. AC was blowing very cold, after about 20 minutes the AC started blowing warm and then I noticed it was starting to overheat. 2011 Ford Crown Victoria

This was a former unmarked police unit. Do not be fooled by the color. It appears to be a former Taxi unit, but This was a fully equipped police cruiser. All emergency equipment has been removed. The body on this unit appears to be straight and in good condition. The headlight are just as yellow as the paint. The paint on the There are minor scratches and dents all around. The spot light on this unit was cut off and removed. The metal center console was left but all radio equipment was removed. All 4 doors open and close as they should, however the truck does not close because there is no latch to on the trunk to hold the trunk close. Used a brick as a counterweight to keep the trunk closed. The interior is clean, driver door panel is in good condition, driver seat is in good condition without any rips or tears. The dash has multiple small screw hold from previous police equipment. The battery in this unit was good, started right up, it has 78,795 original miles, and the AC is blowing ice cold. It idles very smooth, you can barely tell the engine is on, and it revs very strong. Solid low mile unit. The transmission engages very strong and drives smooth. this unit has a Parking brake light and ABS light on the dash. Please review pictures and videos.

2010 International 4300 MA025 Grapple Truck

This was a decommissioned grapple truck for the city. Very low mileage unit. Only 15,728 miles. The condition of the cab appears to be straight. However this unit appears to have been sitting for some time. The battery on this unit was very dead. Connected 2 jump boxes to get it started. Motor sounds very healthy. Transmission engages in drive and reverse. The unit build air pressure but you can hear an air leak from the air tanks on one of the valves. Could not source the direct leak. I noticed the power steering was very heavy. The exterior shows surface rust in some areas. The crane unit appears to be tied down with chain to the truck. Condition of the crane itself is unknown, when entering the cabin for the crane I noticed the steering wheel control was disconnected and hydraulic fluid was all over the floor and windshield. Noticed hydraulic lines behind steering wheel were left opened. When operating the truck, fluid will pour out. The inside of the main cabin is in decent condition. The rubber floor is torn apart. The driver seat has a small tear. But overall just very dirty. The AC blows cold. Please review pictures and video.

2007 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus

This is a StarCraft    16 passenger shuttle bus. This unit appears to be in very good condition. The body overall looks very clean with very minor damage. The exterior looks a little dirty and it appears that it was painted over with a coat of white paint to cover existing signs of logos. No major visible damage on the exterior of this unit. The battery was completely dead, with a jump she started right up and has been at idle for over 35 minutes and the unit did not overheat. It has 35,162 original miles. This unit idles very smooth and revs very nice. Transmission engagement is strong. It engages in drive and reverse. The AC is blowing warm for both front and rear AC. When turning on the rear AC the battery light comes on the dash. Turn the AC off and the light goes away. The interior appears to be very clean. The driver seat is ripped but the dash and everything else look good and complete. All 16 passenger seats look to be in very good condition. I don’t see any signs of active water leaks coming from the roof but I did notice water dripping from the emergency hatch. The rest of the roof is carpet and looks very dry, no signs of any water. No weird smells. The driver door opens and closes as it should however the side entrance door only manually opens. That door does not open with the switch at the driver seat. Not sure if switch or door. This unit appears to be great potential to clean up. Please review pictures and video.

2002 Ford F-750 Dump Truck (4×2)

This was a former city maintenance dump trailer. The overall unit appears to be in good condition. The front hood does have some damaged by the passenger side headlight. But the rest of the unit works as it should. The battery is no good. With 2 jump boxes she started with zero problems. Left this unit running for over 45 minutes and did not over heat. Only has 98,621 miles and idles smooth and revs good. Equipped with a 5.9L Cummins. The transmission engages smooth as it should in Drive and Reverse. I noticed this unit to be loosing air faster than normal. Might have a slight air leak or bad valve. After the video I went to park this unit in reverse as the yard and while backing up got a low air alarm in the cab. Looks to be building air up slow. Would recommend fixing or towing. The dump trailer and PTO function as they should. Bed goes up with good speed and comes down as it should. The rear doors on the bed open and close smooth. The frame looks solid with very minimal surface rust. The interior shows normal signs of wear and tear. It’s missing a plastic cover under the steering wheel, the steering wheel is sticky, the driver seat is ripped, the headliner is very dirty but over all everything looks intact and in its place. This unit will have no issue being cleaned up and out back to work. Please review pictures and video.

2014 Autocar Xpeditor

This unit has some cosmetic issues but everything functions as it should. You can see multiple scratches and surface rust but everything appears to be solid. The front has damage on both driver and passenger side by the headlight. The passenger side is missing one of the side steps into the cabin. The roof is missing paint. Who ever cleaned and removed decals did a very good job. This unit had all three batteries replaced with brand new ones. She started right up with out any problems. I had one of the fleet managers demonstrate that everything works as it should. Grabble works. Bed tilts up and down as it should. Rear door opens as it should. I drove this unit outside the storage yard for a video and she engages in Drive and Reverse with zero issues. The motor revs up very strong. Idles smooth. Equipped with a 9L Cummins motor. It has 61,668 miles on it. Both doors open and close as they should the the cab tilts over as it should. AC blows cold with this unit. Besides cosmetics this unit functions very smoothly.
