Part of what attracts families to Miami Springs is the great selection of local schools. The State of Florida has just released the annual School Grades reports which gives each school a grade from A-F. Let’s take a look at how our local Miami Springs schools have ranked.
SPRINGVIEW ELEMENTARY – “A” Rated Since 2011
Springview Elementary is once again an “A” rated school. Springview Elementary has the longest track record as an “A” rated school in Miami Springs, dating back to 2011. In fact, with the exception of 2010, when they had one year as a “B” school, Springview has “A” ratings each year going back to 2002. That’s over two decades as an “A” rated school. That’s consistent performance from the faculty, staff, teachers, parents, and of course, the students.
The proof is in the pudding. Springview Elementary has produced local leaders like former Miami Springs Police Chief and current Doral Police Chief, Matthew Castillo. It has even produced scholars attending some of the nation’s greatest universities like Princeton University.

Miami Springs Senior High School
For the 2025-2026 school year, Miami Springs Senior High School maintained a “C” grade. The Golden Hawks have a rich, 55-year tradition in our community. The school continues to offer strong extracurricular programs—from the acclaimed Mu Alpha Theta math team to its extensive club roster—while administration strives to return the school to its previous high-performing marks.
It also features the Aerospace Magnet, Academy for Hospitality and Tourism, and iTech Academy Robotics. Plus, Miami Springs Senior High has a rich tradition of sports excellence in baseball, soccer, and swimming. And their football program looks to become a powerhouse in Miami-Dade County.
NOTE: For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, Miami Springs Senior High is converting into a Middle-High program offering classes for grades 6-12.

Miami Springs Middle School – “C” Grade
Miami Springs Middle School received a “C” grade for the 2026 academic year, maintaining its standing from 2025 and 2024. Due to lack of enrollment, the School Board of Miami-Dade County voted unanimously to close the Miami Springs Middle School campus and expand Miami Springs Senior High to offer 6-12 education.
