Last week we posted a video showing two young ladies allegedly stealing a political sign from a Miami Springs home.

Since then, we received complaints from other residents alleging their political signs had also been stolen.  In addition, one resident sent us the following images allegedly capturing another young lady stealing a political sign from a home in the area of Hammond Drive and Westward Drive.  The incident captured in the images below occurred on August 23rd at approximately 7:02pm.

As you can see, a blue, 4-door Honda Civic stops in front of the home.  The young lady runs out to the Trump sign, removes it from the ground, and then runs back to the car for the getaway.

Maybe she really wanted a Trump sign.  Maybe it was part of a treasure hunt.  Maybe it’s a political protest.  In all cases, it’s illegal.  It’s illegal to steal someone else’s property.  Period.  End of story.

This is still the United States of America and everyone has a right to express their political points of view under the 1st amendment of the U.S. Constitution.  You don’t have to agree with it.  You don’t have to like it.  You don’t have to pay attention to it.  But, you can’t take that right away from someone else.

If you have any information about the incident below, you can call the Miami Springs Police Department at 305.888.9711.

To her credit, she did save the bushes from catching COVID-19.  She was wearing a mask.

  1. Frankly I hate seeing political signs of any kind all over the lawns of Miami Springs. I think there should be a City ordinance prohibiting them. Not only is it tacky it’s especially divisive. We need to be doing everything we can to unite this country not divide it further.
