On Monday, Sept. 10, the Miami Springs Woman’s Club’s Civic Engagement & Outreach Committee, Co-Chaired by Gloria Rodriguez & Julie Kelly, hosted the Flight to Honor Program.
Flight to Honor – GFWC Florida President’s Project,is a one-day event that transports United States military veterans to Washington, DC to visit war memorials.
Paying special tribute to female veterans in the GFWC Florida organization. As such, GFWC Florida is sponsoring an all-inclusive flight to Washington, DC. for 172 GFWC Florida veterans in October 2025. This will be the first ALL female veterans Flight to Honor in Florida.
Thank you to Ruth Martinez, GFWC FL District 11 Director, and Virginia Yormoli, District 11 President’s Project Chair, who gave us all the details and plans for the Flight to Honor, consisting of GFWC Florida women veterans for assisting our event.
