With a mission of homeownership and economic opportunity for all, Self-Help Credit Union (self-help.org) announces the opening of its branch located at 101 Curtiss Pkwy, Miami Springs on January 9, 2023.
This is Self-Help’s ninth branch in Florida and its first in Miami. Sources rank Self-Help as the tenth largest credit union in Florida, with offices in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tallahassee.
Community development financial institutions (CDFIs), like Self-Help, have a mission to provide fair, responsible financing to urban, rural, immigrant, and other communities that mainstream finance doesn’t traditionally reach. While our services benefit everyone, Self-Help’s presence in Miami brings broader access to fair, affordable financing options to communities that have long faced historic barriers to financial inclusion, especially women, low-wealth families, immigrants and communities of color. Self-Help works with individuals, organizations, and businesses in under-resourced communities, offering members financial education, business coaching, and fair, affordable loans that increase economic opportunity and help build wealth.
In addition to homeownership, small business growth, affordable housing and community development will be key areas of focus. Services for members will include savings, checking, term certificates, money market accounts, IRAs, loans, including credit building loans, mortgages, online and mobile services, debit and credit cards, and small business/nonprofit accounts.

The Miami Springs branch is conveniently located and staffed by a knowledgeable team who are ready to serve new customers. Lobby hours will be:
- Monday – Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
