Oscar Ortiz gave the crowd a heart warming speech to kick off the day.
One of the doctors involved in trying to find a cure for childhood cancer with the SebastianStrong Foundation flew down from New York to be able to address the participants of the race. He explained how they are using a drug normally used to treat HIV patients in lab tests to attack cancer cells.
