According to Miami Springs Police, on the evening of May 13th, 2024, Miami Springs Officer Adonys Llorens responded to a dangerous distress call. A man was working under a vehicle when it fell on his face and chest.
Fortunately, Officer Llorens arrived in less than 60 seconds from receiving the call. With the assistance of a courageous good samaritan, the two were able to lift the vehicle just enough to allow the victim to free himself from the life crushing situation.
Miami Springs Police Chief Jimmy Deal presented Officer Llorens with the Miami Springs Police Department’s Life Saving Award. This recognition is rarely given due to the specific life saving criteria involved.
In addition to Officer Llorens quick actions and bravery, he was also recognized for his consistent professionalism, commitment to his duty, integrity, and service to the Miami Springs Community.
