WPLG Local 10 reported on the arrest of Jonathan Valdes of Virginia Gardens for allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident and hurting his daughter who was riding unbuckled in the car during the accident.

According to WPLG, Valdes was involved in an accident on Saturday, June 14th at around 7pm, along NW 41 Street near 104th Avenue in Doral (west of Virginia Gardens). He is alleged to have hit another vehicle and continued to drive away and flee the scene of the accident.
Fortunately, Valdes appears to have no choice but to stop after his vehicle became disabled.
When police arrived, they allege that Valdes’ 8-year-old daughter had sustained minor lacerations on her head due to not being buckled during the accident, according to the report.
Miami-Dade Corrections records show that Valdes was charged with Child Abuse / No Great Bodily Harm. He was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
