While crime is significantly down in Miami Springs this year, vigilance remains a priority.
The Miami Springs Police Department’s Detective Bureau recently arrested Sergio Morales, a convicted felon, in connection with an armed robbery at a local motel. Morales met the victim through a dating app and later robbed him at gunpoint, taking over $1,000 in property.

Despite minimal leads, detectives identified and apprehended Morales within 48 hours. He was also wanted for a probation violation, and a recovered firearm matched the one used in the robbery.
