The Village of Virginia Gardens was awarded a federal grant in the amount of $450,000 for the Village’s Law Enforcement Technology Upgrades Project.
The check was presented by U.S. Representative, Mario Diaz-Balart.

In a social media post, Representative Diaz-Balart posted the following:
Proud to deliver nearly $1M in federal funding for critical public safety upgrades in the @villageofvirginiagardens and the City of @miamispringsfl from modern tech to upgraded patrol vehicles.
Our law enforcement officers risk their lives daily. They deserve the tools to do their jobs safely and effectively.
Grateful for the leadership of the Village of Virginia Gardens Mayor Spencer Deno IV and Police Chief Ray Hernandez, as well as City of Miami Springs Mayor @walterfajet and Police Chief Matthew Castillo for their partnership in keeping our communities safe.

Today at Village Hall, the Village of Virginia Gardens proudly received $450,000 in federal funding for critical law enforcement technology upgrades, presented by Congressman @repmariodb.

The $450,000 paid to the Village of Virginia Gardens is in addition to the $500,000 we reported last week was awarded to the City of Miami Springs Police Department for fleet modernization.
