The Miami Springs Police Department reported that they arrested a violent career criminal on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. According to the Miami Springs Police Department, Celio Garcia was a wanted subject and his vehicle was identified by the Police Department’s controversial ALPR (Automated License Plate Reader) that takes a photo of every vehicle entering Miami Springs on the swing bridge.
Miami Springs Police Officers were able to locate the subject’s vehicle within minutes on the Circle. According to the police, “a felony stop was conducted and the subject was taken into custody without incident.” MSPD states that Garcia was a former Springs resident that was wanted by the Miami-Dade Police Department.
