Congratulations to the Miami Springs Senior High Mens Baseball Golden Hawks. They are the new Florida State Class 3A State Champions! You read that right. Say it again. The Golden Hawks are State Champions!
The State Championship game was not a 12-2 victory like the last game. It was a tight nail biter all the way till the end.
The Golden Hawks struck first scoring a run at the top of the second inning. The game remained tight at just 1-0 for the Hawks until the 6th inning where the Hawks added a second run to take a short lived 2-0 lead over the South Walton Seahawks. The Seahawks responded with a score of their own at the bottom of the 6th tightening the game to 2-1 in favor of Miami Springs.
The defensive game remained strong in the 7th inning with neither team scoring during the final frame. That means your Miami Springs Senior High Golden Hawks are you FHSAA Class 3A State Champions!
