We’re thrilled to report the lowest number of new cases of the Coronavirus within our zip code (33166) in 14 weeks!  We had just 22 new cases last week.  This is excellent local news, but only if the trend continues.  In other words, keep wearing your mask, practice social distancing, and wash your hands.

In additions, we estimate Miami Springs only had 12 new cases of the Coronavirus last week for a total of 950 cases since the start of the pandemic.

MIAMI-DADE

Miami-Dade had just 2,772 new cases of the Coronavirus over the last 7 days.  That marks the lowest number of weekly new cases since June 14th.  Again, this is really great news.

We did lose 232 people last week in Miami-Dade County.  This number is still too high, but remember that fatalities trail the new case counts.  That means it takes a few weeks to see the decline in new fatalities after we see a drop in new cases.  Miami-Dade has lost 2,772 souls since the start of the pandemic.  The Coronavirus survival rate in Miami-Dade County remains strong at 98.2%.

FLORIDA

The State of Florida had less than 20,000 new cases of the Coronavirus over the last 7 days.  That’s the lowest count in 13 weeks.  We pray this trend continues in a downward fashion.

Fatalities are still high statewide, but we expect the chart to drop as new cases continues to go down.  We lost 793 people to the Coronavirus over the last 7 days statewide.  The survival rate for the Coronavirus is 98.1% across the State of Florida.

Again, stay safe.  Wash your hands, practice social distancing, and wash your hands.  if we follow these best practices, we’ll continue to see cases and fatalities come down and slowly but surely see life come back to normal.
