FLORIDA COVID-19 CASES
Statewide, we had 37,215 new cases of COVID-19. That’s a continuous trend of lower cases within the State of Florida. However, Florida did see a slight increase in new hospitalizations last week.
There was also an increase in fatalities last week with 920 fatalities from COVID-19 in the last 7 days. Nevertheless, it’s still the second week with fatalities below 1,000. That’s not great, but definitely better than where we had been.
Please, remember to practice social distancing, wear a mask, wash your hands, protect the most vulnerable, and if you can, get the vaccine. With your help, we might say goodbye to COVID by summer.
