Effective tonight, Saturday, May 30, 2020, Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez, issued an emergency curfew. The curfew is in effect throughout the entire county and includes ALL municipalities, including Miami Springs and Virginia Gardens.

- Essential workers are exempt from the order if you are going to or from work

The curfew is in effect in response to local protests over the death in Minneapolis of George Floyd. The protests over George Floyd’s death have spread beyond Minneapolis to places like New York, Washington, Los Angeles, and now Miami.
