Miami Springs resident, former Golden Hawk, and current Florida House Representative, Bryan Avila, has declared he’s running for Miami-Dade County Commissioner District 6. That seat is currently held by Commissioner Rebeca Sosa.
In a post on Twitter, Bryan Avila stated: “Last week, I was proud to announce my candidacy for County Commissioner. As an Army officer, educator and legislator, I will bring the experience, knowledge and fortitude our residents need. I humbly ask for your support to allow me to keep fighting for our hard-working families.”
Avila has done a lot of good for Miami Springs including securing over $2.5 Million from the State of Florida’s budget for Miami Springs projects. We believe Avila will continue to do right by the residents of Miami Springs and wish him good luck as he pursues the County Commission Seat.
