UPDATE: The City of Miami Springs released a statement that “Due to truck and staffing shortages, there will be no county testing at the Community Center parking lot today. Testing will resume tomorrow, January 4th, 2021.”
The City of Miami Springs is working with a company called Nomi Health and Miami-Dade County to provide FREE COVID-19 PCR Testing at the Miami Springs Rec Center from 8am to 6pm Monday through Saturday. The tests begin Monday, January 3, 2022 Tuesday, January 4th, 2021.
Walk up PCR testing available. No appointment is needed. However, there is NO RAPID TESTING or RAPID RESULTS.
It will take at least 24 hours (possibly longer due to the volume) to get results.
You can pre-register at:

NOTE: Do not go to the hospital just to get a COVID test. Most people with COVID, especially the OMICRON variant, will be just fine. You can treat it like a common cold. Get a free test at the Rec Center or buy a home kit if you’re able to find one. We haven’t seen any of the home kits locally since before Christmas.
