The Miami Springs Senior High Golden Hawks Baseball team fell to the Key West Conchs on Friday.  Last year, the Hawks beat the Conchs by a score of 4-2.  However, this year’s rematch flipped the script with a 2-7 loss for the Hawks and a victory for Key West.

Nevertheless, it’s a great honor for the Hawks to represent Miami Springs in the Florida High School State Championship Tournament.  They were able to get into the tournament after beating the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs from Fort Lauderdale to win the Regional Quarterfinal Match by a score of 5-2.
