With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Doug Orr, the founder of Doug Orr Plumbing. He was a towering figure who left an indelible mark, shaping not only the plumbing industry in South Florida but also inspiring multiple generations of tradespeople. A proud countryman, skilled tradesman, respected leader, and cherished friend, Doug was, above all, a devoted father, grandfather, and husband to his family.
As Douglas Orr Plumbing approaches its 50th anniversary, we bid farewell to the visionary who launched it all from his Miami Springs garage in 1974. His legacy lives on through those he mentored, entrusted with carrying the torch for future generations. Doug took immense pride in every individual who contributed to his company throughout the years.
In turn, Douglas Orr Plumbing expresses profound gratitude to Doug for laying the foundation, enabling their continued dedication to upholding the tradition.
At present, we haven’t been informed about the services. However, we’re eager to share the information about the services with the community once it becomes available.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Orr family. Douglas Orr leaves and incredible legacy as a business leader and major contributor to the betterment of our beautiful Miami Springs community.
Doug Orr was always there for the Optimist Club and youth sports. He was a great Coach to many and to this day his company keeps donating to help kids ib the community. It only makes since to change Prince Field name to Doug Orr Park. God Bless him and his family and I hope that younger people can help with youth sports and volunteering as he did for many years. We need new leaders to step up and help build a better future for kids.
