A local activist appeared on the Miami Springs Circle this afternoon, during rush hour traffic, to demonstrate in support of Charlie Kirk, who was slain today in Utah.

Charlie Kirk was the head of Turning Point USA, a conservative non profit organization that was known for hosting public political debates on university campuses across the country. Today, Kirk was at an event on the campus of Utah Valley University when he was shot and killed by an unknown assailant.
Regardless of your political viewpoint, political violence is completely unacceptable. If you disagree, you debate. You share different ideas. You don’t just shoot someone because you disagree with their ideas. Americans should be free to express any point of view without fear of assassination.
Despite early reports of a suspect in custody, the shooter has not been identified and is still at large.
Charlie Kirk was born in 1993 and was just 31 years old. In his short life, he became a national political activist, author, and media personality. More importantly, he was a husband and father of two beautiful little children. Please pray for Charlie’s wife who has to tell these beautiful kids that dad went to heaven and won’t be coming home again.
