Miami-Dade Water and Sewer recently held a townhall meeting at the Miami Springs Pool to discuss the repeated concerns and issues over billing problems affecting Miami Springs residents.  We’ve repeatedly shred incidents of Miami Springs residents complaining of surprise water bills that jumped $50 a month to over $1,000.

Springs Resident Sees Waterbill Jump from $50 to over $1,000

Well, the PR wasn’t very good for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer. The good news was the City of Miami Springs was aware of the complaints and hosted a Town Hall Meeting with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer to address the resident complaints.

Following that meeting, the City of Miami Springs reported that Miami-Dade Water and Sewer had resolved the following:

  • Initial Contact: We’ve reached out to everyone who signed in at the meeting and left voicemails for those we couldn’t contact directly.
  • Account Reviews: Individual account reviews have started to address specific concerns.
  • Adjustments & Follow-ups: We will make necessary adjustments after reviewing each customer’s situation and arrange follow-up calls or meetings to explain the changes.
  • Citywide Review: We are also conducting a comprehensive review of meters and billing for all Miami Springs residents to ensure fairness and transparency.
  • Ongoing Updates: We will keep you informed of our progress.
