For decades, the Miami Springs Police Department has used white patrol vehicles with blue lettering and sometimes even red graphics. Below you’ll see the ubiquitous Dodge Charger in white with blue graphics.
Prior to that, we used to have the white police vehicles with blue and red graphics as shown in the Charger below.
Back in the late ’90s the Police Department had more “radical” graphics in what I used to call the “Starsky and Hutch” graphics.
Now, the Police Department has added a pair of Dodge Durango Police SUVs that are painted in stealth black with barely visible graphics. Even the police lighting is integrated into the internals of the vehicle giving it more of a stealth look. From a distance, it’s tough to tell it’s a police vehicle.
if you squint and look really closely, you’ll notice by the rear door windows it says POLICE WORK DOG. In other words, these new SUVs are specially made for our K-9 Police Force.
We like the look of the new stealth Police SUVs as a tactical vehicle. What do you think? Which look do you prefer?
- Stealth look
- White with blue graphics
- With with red and blue graphics
- Late ’90s “Starsky and Hutch” graphics
A vehicle that keeps crime out of this city is fine with me.
I think the our police force continues to do a great job..
