According to an article published by Theo Karantsalis in the Miami Herald, convicted former Miami Springs Police Sergeant, Andres Quintanilla, is appealing his nine year sentence in appeals court. As reported earlier, Quintanilla pleaded guilty to using his position as a Miami Springs Police Sergeant to help a drug trafficker conduct business.
