On behalf of the entire Miami Springs Community, we want to thank Jimmy Deal for his 34 years of service to our community. He started back in 1990 as a dispatcher. He rose through the ranks and served as part of the K9 unit (including his K9 partner Arko).
In 2019 (before COVID), Jimmy Deal was promoted from Lieutenant to the rank of Miami Springs Police Captain. You can watch the promotion ceremony below:
After serving as Captain for five years, Deal was ready to retire. However, Chief Guzman announced his retirement and Deal accepted the role of Chief of Police for the Miami Springs Police Department last February.
Nevertheless, after a great career serving his community, the time had come to finally retire.
We want to once again thank Chief Jimmy Deal for his love and dedication to our beautiful Miami Springs Community.
THANK YOU!
Below are some of the images shared by the Miami Springs Police Department of Chief Deal’s long tenure with the Miami Springs Police Department.
