The Village of Virginia Gardens is adding “Beware of Alligator” signs near the Tiki Hut on Ludlam. The most important part is not to feed the gators. In addition to a $500 fine, feeding alligators is dangerous as it removes their fear of humans. In fact, gators that are fed by humans associate humans with food and can get very aggressive with people. Normally, alligators tend to be shy away from humans as they see us as a threat.
