Miami Springs Police reported another traffic stop for illegal tints that lead to the narcotics arrest of Zavi King.

Arrested Zavi King

Alright folks, if you’re driving with illegal tints, there’s a good chance you’re going to get pulled over in Miami Springs.  That’s what police say happened once again on Saturday, April 9th.  Just after 11pm, Miami Springs Police pulled over a vehicle along the 900 block of South Royal Poinciana Boulevard.  (That’s in front of the Aladdin Hotel.)  As the officer was writing a citation for the illegal tinted windows, a K-9 unit arrived on scene.  The K-9 alerted the officers to the scent of narcotics coming from the passenger side of the vehicle.

The driver and a sole passenger were then ordered to exit the vehicle to allow the cops to search the vehicle.  Miami Springs Police allege that they found small plastic baggies containing crack cocaine and powdered cocaine inside the vehicle.  Police also allege that they found large amounts of cash throughout the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Zavi King, was arrested at the scene.  Police allege that the female passenger told the officers that “the property was not hers and belonged to King.”  When the passenger’s criminal records check came back clean, she was released at the scene without incident.

Miami Springs Police also allege that more cash was found on King’s person after he was placed under arrest.

Zavi Lavaris King is currently at TGK and was chaged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell.  See the details from Miami-Dade Corrections below:
