Miguel Enrique Marquez was arrested and booked into TGK on Sunday, October 3rd after allegedly molesting a 3 year old girl at the Red Roof Inn located along LeJeune Road in Miami Springs. According to Miami-Dade Corrections, Marquez was charged with:
- Lewd & Lascivious Behavior: Molestation of a child under 12 years old
- 2 counts of battery
According to a report by NBC 6, Marquez allegedly touched a 3 year old girl inappropriately. According to the report, the mom was on another floor at the time of the incident. She was reportedly doing laundry at the time.
Red Roof Inn
In May of 2020, we reported on how the Red Roof Inn was being used to shelter homeless people during the COVID-19 crisis. That continues to be the cases today. In fact, the hotel is officially labeled as closed as it is currently under contract to house homeless people. In addition, concerns have been raised by our politicians that little Miami Springs is housing such a large portion of Miami-Dade County’s homeless population. It’s been argued that this is an unfair burden on our small community.
