Meet your new Miami-Dade County Commissioner Elect for District 6: Kevin Marino Cabrera.
Cabrera was the leading candidate during the primary election in August and continued his momentum with an impressive election day victory securing 61% of the votes.

Kevin Marino Cabrera was very aggressive in his election campaign with a heavy dose of online marketing and traditional in home mailers. Cabrera also secured the endorsement from former President Donald Trump. In the end, Cabrera succeeded in acquiring the greatest support from the community with 32,412 votes compared to Jorge Fors who received 20,313 votes. That was a margin of victory of over 12,000 votes in Cabrera’s favor.

Kevin Cabrera will be replacing outgoing Miami-Dade Commissioner Rebeca Sosa. Sosa was term limited and is not allowed to continue to serve.
