Miami Springs Police announced the arrest of Frank Marrupe on Friday, September 16th. According to Miami Springs Police, on of the officers on patrol spotted Frank and made contact with him. Police allege that Marrupe consented to a search of his backpack. (Why people consent to searches still boggles my mind. Any attorney worth his salt will always tell you never to consent to a search.)
Anyhow, according to Miami Springs Police, upon searching Frank Marrupe’s backpack, the Police allegedly found a loaded .38 caliber revolver and 28.4 grams of methamphetamines. He’s also accused of possessing dozens of credit cards, ID cards, and checks belonging to different people.
The background check revealed that Marrupe had a prior felony conviction that prohibits him from legally possessing a firearm. As a result, Frank Marrupe was arrested and charged with:
- Armed Trafficking: Methamphetamine
- Firearm Possession by a convicted felon
- Fraudulent use of IDs
- Possession of Identification for fraudulent use
